These inspirational words truly motivate me to do what I always wanted to do in my life – impart the education I have earned through my vast experience to the future generation of doctors who can truly help to change the world.

Because education is the FOUNDATION upon which we build our future, it is imperative that we, as senior doctors, make it our responsibility to not confine our knowledge to ourselves but to spread it and inspire the budding doctors who are eager to learn and make a difference.

And, in continuation of this effort, I recently had the opportunity to conduct a Haematology Master Class in Uzbekistan where more than 100 medical students and doctors attended. The topics for this particular Master Class was Anaemia, Myeloma and Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS).

Like my other Master Classes, my focus in this Master Class too was on educating the basics of the diseases, because once we focus on the core, the solution, or in our case, the cure will be right there. Moreover, I wanted to motivate and inspire the students and young doctors to think beyond the glory associated with offering a blanket solution like a Bone Marrow or Stem Cell Transplant.
